Restaurants in Salisbury

To discover Salisbury's prehistoric origins, you need to head out of the town towards Stonehenge, where the ancient site of Old Sarum is to be found.

These days, 'New Sarum' is an attractive city with a big tourist reputation (it was voted among the top ten in a recent survey). Pride of place goes to the majestic cathedral, an awesome structure with Britain's tallest spire (123 metres), but it's also famed for its gloriously photogenic water meadows and its historic market place.
