Restaurants in County Down
The majestic Mountains of Mourne, the Ards Peninsula and almost-landlocked Strangford Lough dominate the ancient, atmospheric landscape of County Down, one of Ireland's great family destinations, with golden beaches, natural harbours and lots to see.
The lough and the 200-mile coastline from Bangor to Warrenpoint provide mussels, oysters and excellent fish for the local pubs and restaurants. County Down also takes in parts of Belfast, south of the Lagan river - so urban eateries also have their say.
