Restaurants in Greater Manchester
The city of Manchester boasts the largest and most thriving restaurant scene outside London, with scores of reputable venues large and small. Manchester's Chinatown is a stupendous dragon, with big names on every corner and an increasing number of Thai, Korean and Japanese newcomers adding extra spice to the neighbourhood. For Indian food, head for the authentic cafés in Rusholme's 'curry quarter'. Most of the prestigious European establishments are in the affluent fringes of the city, and more are clustered around the airport.
