Tunbridge Wells has been attracting visitors for more than 400 years, ever since the health-giving Chalybeate Spring was discovered in 1606. Coffee shops and taverns sprang up in its wake, and the traditions of hospitality and sustenance are still alive and well in today's pubs, restaurants and hotels.

The town gained its 'Royal' prefix thanks to King Edward VII (who was a great fan of the place); a prime location, in beautiful Kentish countryside just a commuter's ride from London, ensures its enduring popularity.
