Restaurants in Sussex

Think of Sussex and you conjure up views of undulating downland and the holiday beaches of the south coast. Both have their part to play in the county's food scene.

Southdown lamb is highly prized for its very distinctive flavour, while the waters around Rye Bay provide lobsters, sea bass and the like. Several big-name vineyards have also sprung up in recent years.

Brighton and Hove is best known for its colourful ethnic and vegetarian restaurants.
