Review on The Grill on the Edge
The Grill on the Edge, formerly celebrity chef Paul Heathcote's London Road Restaurant & Wine Bar is now part of the Living Ventures group of restaurants. The venue has a sophisticated décor spread over three floors, with an intimate downstairs eating area, the main restaurant and bar on the ground floor and an upstairs private dining room. For warmer days there is a terrace at the front of the restaurant for dining al fresco.
Typically you might choose a double baked cheese soufflé or salt and pepper chicken skewer with sweet chilli ginger amongst the starters. Main courses feature a great selection of steaks such as the renowned Wagyu Kobe fillet or you could choose a grilled lobster with home cut chips, served with either thermidor sauce or garlic butter. Desserts encompass a white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake or a traditional sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. There are tempting cocktails alongside a well thought out wine list.
