Review on SUSHISAMBA LONDON
SUSHISAMBA is the first UK outpost of a small group of fusion restaurants that originates from America. Located on the 38th and 39th floor of London's third tallest building at 755 feet, it is reached by a high speed glass lift on the outside of the building, not an experience for the faint-hearted! The venue has a vibrant and contemporary décor designed by award-winning architects Cetra Ruddy, with floor to ceiling windows in the restaurant and two outdoor terraces offering spectacular views of some of London's famous landmarks like St Pauls Cathedral, The Gherkin and the Shard.
SUSHISAMBA offers an inventive menu which is a unique fusion of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine using impeccably fresh ingredients, beautifully presented. Diners can choose from a combination of small plates ideal for sharing or opt for a main course such as Moqueca Mista shriimp, south coast white fish, squid, coconut milk, roasted cashew, dendê oil and chimichurri or Arroz con pato, duck breast, foie gras, cilantro and pickled red onion. Desserts provide an enticing mix of flavours with mango mousse, sweet potato biscuit, passion fruit, mango-lime coriander sauce, kiwi-mojito sorbet or organic red chocolate chilli peppers, Peruvian chilli mousse, red pepper tuile, raspberry-red pepper sorbet and chocolate crumble.
Accompanying the menu is a well conceived wine list, with some options available by the glass and a very tempting cocktail menu. SUSHISAMBA's younger sibling the Duck & Waffle is located on the floor above.
