Review on The Restaurant at Riverside Inn
Existing as a hostelry for some 400 years, The Riverside Inn in Aymestrey harks back to Elizabethan times. Cradled within the Wye Valley and just on the banks of the River Lugg, you cannot ask for a more enchanting location. The Riverside Inn is also a handy pit stop for walkers being conveniently based in the centre of the 'Mortimer Trail'. Relax, unwind and admire the surroundings as you tuck into the inspired cuisine offered by the Restaurant.
Whilst firmly based on an English style, the menus incorporate ideas from further afield to add interest. Meat is of reliable local provenance, as it should be in this part of the country, with excellent Herefordshire beef and Welsh lamb. The Inn's fruit, vegetables and herbs are all home-grown too. The Restaurant offers excellent value for money, though the Inn also has a bar offering lighter meals if you are looking for something less formal.
