The Cavallo Star is a modern Italian restaurant situated near to the newly refurbished railway station in the centre of Berne. The restaurant has a Mediterranean décor and welcoming atmosphere, with seating for 150, and a further 90 diners on their terrace. Using fresh seasonal ingredients the kitchen serves traditional Italian dishes such as Insalata Caprese, mozzarella with tomato and basil olive oil or carpaccio of beef with parmesan amongst the starters, followed by main courses of Spaghetti al Pomodoro e Basilico Fresco, spaghetti with fresh homemade tomato and basil sauce or grilled salmon with lemon thyme sauce, fresh vegetables and plain rice. There is an extensive range of pizza cooked in a wood oven and children have their own menu. The restaurant is open for breakfast, serving coffee and croissants and returning diners are offered a club card for their loyalty, entitling them to special offers.
