Review on Asha's

Asha's is a multi-award winning restaurant situated in Birmingham, close to the Great Western Arcade shopping centre and a short walk from Birmingham Snow Hill rail station. It is the first UK branch of the successful group of Indian restaurants owned by famous Bollywood singer Asha Bhosie, with further branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Cairo, Kuwait and Quatar. The dining rooms are moodily lit with a sleek contemporary décor featuring dark wood tables, with vibrant orange and lime green furnishings.

The kitchen offers traditional North Western Indian cuisine inspired by the offerings of the great chefs Asha has encountered in her travels, through the various regions of India over the years. Signature dishes include panchpharon whole lobster, simmered with 5 spices, lamb biryani and their tasty Tandoori kebabs, whilst desserts feature a dark chocolate fudge cake on a bed of chocolate sauce and the classic cold Indian dessert, Rasmali. There are some delicious speciality cocktails on offer, try aged pisco punch pears, consisting of pears, kaffir lime leaves and high proof vodka, aged for two weeks in ceramic jars and served with infused fruits.

Asha's is also featured in: Michelin Guide, Hardens
