Review on Dormy House Hotel, The Back Garden
Dormy House is a 17th century former farmhouse retaining all of the original features and has loads of exposed beams creating a warm atmosphere. The hotel re-opened in August 2013 following a £10m refurbishment programme, with new interiors designed by Todhunter Earle and gardens created by landscape architect and TV presenter, Chris Beardshaw.
Food wise there is an all-day dining pub called The Potting Shed and the new Back Garden restaurant with menus devised by former two-Michelin-star chef Martin Burge. Ingredients for the carefully crafted dishes are both farmed and foraged, as well as supplied from trusted local suppliers they have built up a special relationship with.
