Review on Dormy House Hotel, The Garden Room
Dormy House is a 17th century former farmhouse retaining all of the original features and has loads of exposed beams creating a warm atmosphere. The hotel re-opened in August 2013 following a £10m refurbishment programme, with new interiors designed by Todhunter Earle and gardens created by landscape architect and TV presenter, Chris Beardshaw.
Food wise there is an all-day dining pub called The Potting Shed and the new Garden Room restaurant with menus by consultant Michelin starred Executive Chef, John Wood and their own talented Head Chef, Jon Ingram. Ingredients for the carefully crafted dishes are both farmed and foraged, as well as supplied from trusted local suppliers they have built up a special relationship with.
