The Buddha Republic is the first Indian gourmet restaurant and tandoori lounge to have a tandoori show kitchen in Berlin's Charlottenburg district. Various types of meat and fish (lamb, chicken, shrimps, sea bream and salmon) are baked in the tandoori clay oven and served with freshly baked bread on banana leaves. Besides the tandoori specials there is also a selection of other Indian dishes. A great deal of attention has been given to the décor which offers a blend of tradition and modernity giving the place a stylish and cosy feel. The restaurant owner gained years of experience in India and the UK before turning his ideas into reality here. The Buddha-Republic is conveniently located at Savignyplatz and is easy to get to from the Messegelände via Kantstraße.
