Review on Bibury Court Hotel

Shielded from the outside world by six acres of wooded parkland, Bibury Court is a privately owned country mansion of the old school. The River Coln runs through the grounds and the mullioned, multi-gabled building can trace its origins back to 1633 - although much of it was remodelled in the 1920s.

A buzzy new conservatory extension has been tacked onto the intimate dining room overlooking the grounds, and the kitchen is settling in after the recent arrival of celebrity chef James Graham, who not only earned his culinary stripes working at various kitchens including Raymond Blanc's Le Petit Blanc, but has also opened his own restaurant Allium which has been Michelin listed since 2005.

The kitchen taps into bountiful supplies of locally sourced produce with meat procured from local farms and the average distance of their main suppliers is an impressive 22 miles.
