Review on Vertigo 42
The prospect of sipping Champagne and grazing on seafood at 590 feet above pavement level is the reason why crowds ascend to the upper reaches of Tower 42.
Three dozen fizzes are on offer, from NV quaffers to a fistful of pinks and four-figure price-tag Nebuchadnezzars. A handful of wines and classic cocktails play second fiddle to the bubbly stuff.
Seafood figures large on the menu (smoked haddock and herb risotto, skewered scallops with yoghurt and apple salad etc) but there's plenty more besides including grilled chicken Caesar salad and plates of charcuterie with breadsticks.
A set lunch menu offers things like cream of celeriac soup and roast chicken breast with braised lentils and bacon, followed by Pavlova with lemon curd and mixed berry compote.
