Review on Solstice Kitchen
A multiple-winner of Open Table's "Best Overall Restaurant" in South Carolina, Solstice Kitchen & Wine Bar is the partner restaurant of Mr. Friendlys New Southern Cafe and The Cellar on Greene. Owner/Executive Chef Ricky Mollohan teams with Chefs Blythe Kelly and Doug Tudanger to create various weekly menus that include a $25 Three-Course/$30 Four-Course Menu, Monday evening's "Comfort Food Menu", nightly Wine Pairing Menus, and regular menu changes that emphasis the true seasonal meaning of "Solstice". All menus utilize interpretations of dishes ranging from classic American & French, to Mediterranean, Japanese & Low Country. Customer favorites include the Tableside Beef Tartare, Hudson Valley Foie Gras with blueberry jam, cornbread & pickled jalapenos, Smoked Gouda-Applewood Bacon Mac n Cheese and the various selections of Prime Beef, local-caught Seafood, locally-farmed produced and housemade desserts. Solstice also offers one of SC's best Wine Lists with over 700 selections.
