JJ and Kay Mitchell's long-running restaurant in a converted shop is one of the best-liked venues in town and continues to deliver no-frills, unpretentious food to locals and tourists alike. The split-level wood interior has a cosy, welcoming feel, helped along by chatty, smartly turned out waitresses.
Seafood platters are one of the stars of the show, but the menu also features a tempting line-up of generous dishes including bowls of mussels, Connemara lamb stew, fresh crab salad and fishcakes. Sandwiches, salads and pasta are lighter daytime offerings.
