Situated in the leafy southern suburbs of Cork, right next to Douglas Golf Club, this eighteenth-century country mansion has been brought thoroughly up to date with luxurious facilities and a state-of-the-art spa. The main bar and restaurant are in the new extension and provide visitors with a taste of innovative modern cuisine.
Typically diverse dishes from the menu might include wild boar with mustard and apple mash, halibut with a shellfish and lovage risotto, and passion fruit crθme brϋlιe. The restaurant has its own 'walk-in' wine cellar and guests are invited to browse through the prodigious selection of vintage wines from around the globe. Champagne afternoon teas are another treat, served in the lovely Garden Room overlooking the 300-year-old listed gardens.
