Review on Es Fum
Es Fum is the Michelin starred dining restaurant of the luxurious five star St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort set in Costa d'en Blanes, with the backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains on the southwest coast of Mallorca. The restaurant has an elegant and contemporary décor, with a romantic terrace looking out towards the Mediterranean sea.
Rafael Sánchez joined the kitchen as Head Chef in 2014, a former chef of Michelin starred Restaurant Plat d'Or until 2012. Diners are offered a choice of 6, 8 or 10 course menus, and there is also a vegetarian and children's menu available. Typical dishes that appear could be Carabinero shrimp and crab with avocado, coriander and lemon or foie gras and smoked eel, lychees, green apple and potato salad. Kahl's Argaon lamb served with polenta, spinach, eggplant and chick peas is a signature dish having featured on the menu for a number of years. Desserts are beautifully executed creations in the shape of Valrhona chocolate, yuzu, orange and passion fruit or coconut parfait, pineapple and chocolate foam.
