Review on Thai Dusit
Ignore the location close to the ring road on the outskirts of Coventry city centre, this Thai restaurant adds a splash of oriental colour to an area not overly blessed with decent eating places. 'Dusit' translates as 'Buddhist paradise' and the dining room certainly tries to live up to its name with lots of native artefacts and waitresses in pretty national costume.
The menu includes all the now-familiar staples of the cuisine including satays, tom yum soup, red and green curries and pad thai noodles in addition to a few speciality dishes such as pla sam rod (deep-fried fish topped with onions, chillies and tamarind). Banquets offer decent value, and weekday set lunches are a snip for under a fiver.
