This well-liked Doncaster Italian celebrated its twenty-third birthday in 2018 and continues to please the locals with its blend of no-nonsense trattoria food. Familiar-sounding pizzas and pastas loom large on the menu, along with equally comforting main courses like bistecca pizzaiola, rack of lamb with mushrooms, peppers, mint and red wine sauce, and suprême of chicken with white wine, cream and asparagus; otherwise plump for the house special – fillet steak cooked in red wine with cream demi-glace, Madeira and porcini mushrooms.

The choice of antipasti extends to deep-fried discs of Mozzarella with tomato and basil sauce, spare ribs and artichokes cooked with white wine, onions and bacon; the kitchen is also justly proud of its desserts and ice creams.
