Review on The Mansefield Hotel
Set in the west end of Elgin near the city centre, The Mansfield is a beautifully refurbished manse dating from around 1839, but now operates as a swish hotel with a prestigious conference centre and many other facilities for business and pleasure.
For fine dining choose the beautifully appointed restaurant, which is suitably decked out with fine oil paintings and watercolours. The kitchen specialises in local seafood, game and Scottish beef for a menu with international overtones.
Alternatively, choose the Mezzo Bar & Eaterie adjacent to the conference suite - the latest addition to the hotel and a less formal setting for meals with a Mediterranean slant. By day, Mezzo is an informal meeting place, ideal for a quick bite. Things move up a notch in the evenings as the place pulls in the crowds.
