Review on Brasserie at Aviator
The Brasserie at Aviator is a simple yet stylish restaurant located in Farnborough, Hampshire. The stylish Brasserie has cream leather chairs, walnut columns, parquet flooring and soft lighting, giving a warm glow in the evening. Vintage black and white photographs of Hollywood stars surround the Brasserie walls and add excitement during dining to count how many stars you can name.
During the summer months the Brasserie opens its doors to the terrace, with fabulous views of private jets leaving the runway at the private and exclusive TAG Farnborough Airport. Guests are also invited to use the sophisticated and intimate Sky Bar, the ideal place to sip a cocktail or enjoy a post dinner tipple.
Typical offerings on the carte include starters such as foraged new season wild garlic risotto with confit chicken wing and ceviche of langoustine or Blackmoor Farm venison cottage pie with truffled potato espuma. Main courses take in rump steak with triple cooked fat chips, Portobella mushroom, slow roasted tomatoes, triple mustard butter and watercress from the Josper grill, or fillet of local cod with crisp cheek, spring green colcannon, braised ox tail, lemon and parsley. The dessert menu offers such delights as carrot cake with coriander and pistachio or English raspberry souffle with hot chocolate ice cream.
For informal dining there is the One Eleven, a British restaurant offering simpler dishes.
