Review on Speisekammer
The Speisekammer in Frankfurt am Main serves diners traditional Hessian cuisine. The hosts Jutta und Dieter Schreuer complete the package with a selection of unusual dishes. The menu offers, for example, Handkäs (hand cheese) and green sauce as well as tarragon flavoured schnitzel, pork tenderloin with apples in calvados cream and basil parfait. The restaurant has a cosy and hospitable feel and the dining room offers families a warm welcome. The restaurant is a bolthole from the stresses of everyday life. Sit in the beautifully decorated Gaststube or outside in the garden with its chestnut trees in the summer months. Sample the culinary delights and enjoy a freshly tapped beer, a Frankfurt cider or a glass of Rheingauer Leichtsinn with Weinberg peach liqueur.
