This locally renowned restaurant has been serving the needs of locals and visitors for more than 25 years and remains one of the most respected venues in the region. The emphasis is on old-school comfort and service in the spacious dining room.
The kitchen has made its name with innovative cooking based on seasonal ingredients. Menus cover a lot of ground, but you might begin with home-smoked salmon with chilli and sour plum sauce or roast duck and vegetable wraps with wasabi mayonnaise before tapenade-stuffed monkfish wrapped in bacon or fillet of ostrich with a horseradish and potato cake and bordelaise sauce. Certified Irish Angus steaks are also a popular choice. 'Bar plates' are available for those who fancy some light grazing (available 5-7.00pm Tue-Fri).
