Restaurant Français is one of the best restaurants in Grindelwald situated in the family owned Hotel Belvedere, a member of the French Gourmet Association Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. The hotel was the first in Switzerland to receive the Travelife Gold Award for outstanding efforts in the interests of sustainability. They are committed to home-grown produce and most of their dairy and meat products come from their own region, with fish purchased from sustainable sources. The restaurant's large picture windows look out on the most breathtaking view of the Eiger and neighbouring mountains, with background music provided by the pianist and accordionist adding to the ambience of the dining experience.
