Review on The Absolute End

A converted fisherman's cottage on the coast road a mile out of St Peter Port is the evocative setting for this oddly named, but highly distinctive restaurant. The whitewashed building looks out over the sea and the interior is a pleasing mix of panelling and rough plaster walls hung with paintings.

Seafood from the local boats and native Italian specialities share the billing on the menu, which might take in local crab with linguine, scallops in white wine and mushroom sauce, baked sea bass with Italian herbs and classic turbot with hollandaise sauce. Finish with, perhaps, chocolate and almond torte with pistachio ice cream.
