Review on Atlantic Restaurant
From the elegant Atlantic Restaurant guests can enjoy a fine view over Hamburg's Lake Alster. The classy atmosphere, fine furnishings in elegant colours and first-class, but relaxed service complement each other perfectly. Since June 2003 kitchen director Sven Büttner has heralded the arrival of modern and extravagant additions to the menu. Since 1999 he has been one of 13 members of the widely acclaimed group of chefs, Die jungen Wilden (The Young Wild ones), with the motto: Different. Younger. Wilder. Büttner's unusual creations, in part skilfull variations of Atlantic classics, are impressive and contribute to the restaurant's existing reputation for fine dining. Sven Büttner successfully manages to achieve the ambitious balance between wild cuisine and tried and tested tradition. He has already found fame with his pan-fried veal fillet in cocoa served on chanterelle risotto and balsamic shallots.
