The Vlet is a modern restaurant which is situated in Hamburg's historic Speicherstadt (reputedly the largest warehouse area in the world) next to the Hafencity (a large modern harbour front development). The restaurant's stylish décor goes hand in hand with the creative north German cuisine. The experienced chef offers a new interpretation of local cuisine, with the addition of some French touches. The restaurant is in a class of its own. The historic façade forms an ideal backdrop to its industrial charm. Open steel beams and red bricks surround the green glass designer bar, brown leather armchairs and modern art. Imaginatively prepared traditional north German dishes and choice wines are served in the 90-seat restaurant.
