Review on The Grove
The Grove is a modern restaurant situated in Hammersmith Grove and on a sunny day is the perfect spot for a relaxed meal on its terrace. Inside it has stripped floors with cream walls and aqua green panelling, wooden tables and chairs and large terracotta pots complete the Mediterranean feel.
The kitchen makes admiral use of organic produce wherever possible in a menu that changes twice daily. The Mediterranean menu might start off with baked brie wrapped in Parma ham with red chard and mizuna leaves and berry coulis or chargrilled Mediterranean vegetables with glazed goats cheese and fresh basil pesto. Mains follow the theme with wild mushroom risotto with parmesan and rocket and truffle oil or grilled swordfish loin with roasted vegetables, cous-cous, fennel salsa and pesto dressing, while desserts take in tiramisu or maybe banoffee pie. There is a large selection of organic and non-organic wines, ales and beers.
