The Gallo Nero is a gourmet restaurant in Hanover-Buchholz which has been recommended by numerous restaurant guides. It serves exquisite Italian dishes. The new and traditional Italian cuisine also includes typical delicacies from various parts of Italy. These are offered in the form of a themed menu which changes from month to month. The building, which is a Vierständer half-timbered house, is over four hundred years old. It accommodates the 100-seat restaurant with its open fireplace, a wine store - with Italian wines and seating for up to 40 people - and a terraced area in the garden. The décor is elegant and classic. It provides a sophisticated, dignified and charming setting for weddings and family and office parties. The restaurant has an interesting and varied culinary and social programme. The menu changes every three months. Regular art exhibitions featuring well known artists are held in the restaurant gallery. Wine tasting and seminars in the wine store take place every six months.
