Review on Madhu at Sherarton Skyline Hotel London Heathrow
With two successful, well established restaurants in Southall under its belt, Madhu has taken its award winning act to the five star Sheraton Skyline Hotel at London Heathrow airport. This critically acclaimed brand, takes its name from the owners father's and is also well known for catering Indian events hosted by the Royal Family at Clarence House and Windsor Castle and its speciality foods, sold exclusively in Harrods and Harvey Nichols food courts. The chic restaurant has a sleek contemporary design with smart vibrant red chairs set against dark wood tables on glossy tiled flooring.
With the robata grill taking centre stage in full view of diners, the menu has been designed to showcase authentic Punjabi cuisine with a Kenyan twist. Kick off with grilled diver caught scallops and asparagus with sesame coriander dressing from the robata grill, followed by a signature main course of Nalli Gosht, carefully prepared lamb on the bone or maybe choose Masala fish, fillet of Tilapia, a fresh water fish from Kenya's Lake Victoria, cooked with Madhu's unique masala sauce and flavoured with roasted cumin seeds. Finish with a dessert of Mango Kheer, slow cooked rice pudding infused with mango and almonds or a mango passion cheese cake.
Service is notably polished and attentive and there's an excellent wine list to complement the dishes.
