Review on The Bell Inn & The Ostlers
The Bell's location provides the best of both worlds, being set in a rural, picturesque village, yet only 10 minutes from the M25. Construction of the Bell commenced in the fifteenth century and much of the structure we see today was completed by the time the first of the Tudors, Henry VII, came to the throne in 1445.
Adjacent to the The Bell is the The Ostlers Cocktail Bar and Restaurant where menus change twice weekly and may include starters like a plate of Parma ham with wild garlic and truffle toast or Bacon knuckle rillette with scallop tartare and rhubarb hollandaise. Equally original main courses, such as grilled asparagus with raspberry jelly and Parmesan ice cream or smoked mackerel ravioli with lentil cream and keta tempura, lead on to the pudding menu titled 'Oh Sugar' and containing such tempting offers as candied orange & chocolate fondant with coffee ice cream and hot chocolate mousse.
You can enjoy an evening meal at the Bell and stop over in one of the 26 very comfortable rooms.
