Review on K Bar and Grill
An outstanding first-floor bistro-style restaurant overlooking a buzzing Continental bar, K Bar & Grill's reputation for great food and fabulous service is growing and attracting an increasing number of regulars. Its beautiful Tudor exterior is complimented by a simple interior - timber beams and wooden floors, pine tables and soft modern lighting.
Meals from the main menu can be enjoyed in the restaurant during the evening, but more informal and lighter options can be sampled during lunchtime. There is also an outside courtyard area for alfresco dining.
The kitchen offers its own innovative take on eclectic modern cuisine, pulling in ideas and ingredients from near and far, but working in tandem with the seasons. Eggs Benedict 'royale' topped with smoked salmon might sit alongside Cajun fishcakes or goats' cheese wrapped in Parma ham, while main courses might range from slow-braised pork cheeks in red with swede mash to baked whole sea bass with ginger, coriander and soy. For afters, expect anything from Belgian chocolate and Southern Comfort sponge pudding to crème de menthe and choc-chip parfait with peanut sauce.
