Review on Rosedale Hotel
The Rosedale started life as a row of harbourside cottages inhabited by the fishermen of Portree, but these days it's a popular, family-run hotel offering simple comforts, personal hospitality and decent food.
Diners have good views of the harbour and Raasay from the windows of the first-floor restaurant. The kitchen makes use of 'specially selected Scotch meats' and local seafood for an international menu that might take in Cullen skink, tuna steak with prawn and saffron risotto or duck breast with sweet potatoes, red wine and plum sauce, plus desserts such as Skye strawberry crème brûlée.
