Review on Crab & Lobster Inn

A breathtaking location overlooking Bembridge Ledge and the sea, just a hop and skip from the 65-mile coastal path, has made the Crab & Lobster Inn a perennial favourite with visitors to the Isle of Wight. Dating from the nineteenth century it has been extensively improved and refurbished - including five new letting rooms for travellers and holidaymakers.

Originally a stone-built fisherman's cottage, it still has strong links with the sea. The menu is packed with locally caught fish, whether it's Bembridge Ledge lobster, crab, scallops or prawns. Mixed platters are a great favourite, and the choice also pleases the pub faithful with ploughman's, grills, lasagne and the like. Local ice cream confections are the big sellers when it comes to desserts. Good choice of real ales including Goddards Fuggle-Dee-Dum.
