Review on The North Pole
The North Pole, formerly The North Star has reopened after a stylish refurbishment from new owners James Morgan and Richard Craig, the duo behind the Butcher and Barrel pub group. The pub with its interesting nooks and crannies now sports a blue and cream décor with a smart wood flooring, interesting pictures on the walls and greenery dotted here and there.
The kitchen is keen to source locally for its produce and dishes are simple in concept serving pub classics such as BBQ chicken wings, steak and ale pie, T-Bone steak with a fried egg, chips and coleslaw or maybe beer battered haddock with chips, peas and tartare sauce.
They are serious about their beer and cider at the North Pole they have 22 draught products and over 30 bottled products, as well as 10 hand pumps featuring ales and ciders from independent suppliers.

Dinner: 6.30 - 10.30pm (12.00 - 9.00pm Sun)
