Review on Luce & Hawkins
Luce & Hawkins, housed in the majestically restored 1863 home of Captain Jedediah Hawkins, is quickly becoming the crown jewel in the North Fork's dining scene.
Chef Luce was born and raised on his family's farm just three miles from the inn on Long Island's North Fork. It is on that land that his lifelong passion for food began. His culinary journey has taken him around the globe, from New York City, France and Italy, as well as Chicago, Aspen, CO. and California. Luce also served as Sous Chef in The White House during the first term of the Clinton Administration and most recently as Executive Chef at The Herbfarm in Woodinville, Washington, which was named "the #1 dining destination in the world" during his tenure.
Recognising that the purity of flavour derives from the ripest, most seasonal ingredients, guests can expect an ever evolving menu that places its emphasis upon local and sustainably grown ingredients.
