Review on Launceston Place
Launceston Place celebrated its twenty-fifth birthday during 2011 and it continues to provide a sedate alternative to the energy and bustle of capital and following a recent renovation, this gentrified restaurant in a leafy Kensington backwater has emerged with a stylish contemporary look.
There's a new chef at the helm Raphael Francoise, who has been appointed chef patron having joined the restaurant from Le Cirque in New York, where he held the role of Executive Chef. Showcasing the best of the British larder, inventive and modern menus will feature dishes in the shape of blue crab simplissime with creamy potato, tarragon and carapace jus and desserts like crema Catalana with banana and lime sorbet and burnt lime. The restaurant was delighted to be awarded three prestigious AA Rosettes in 2019.
