With its weekly changing menus inspired by the seasons, the loft atmosphere and Mediterranean feel of Schmidt's Restaurant is a precursor to the true highlight - the food, which is unusual and creative, with market fresh daily recommendations changing at both lunchtime and in the evening. Head Chef Olaf Kranz has selected the finest recipes for all the seasons and in December 2004, Schmidt's published its first cookbook. For those interested in architecture and design, the location is a must and is situated on the site of the Deutsche Werkstätten building complex. The restaurant also has a wonderful summer garden. Parties of up to 65 people can be accommodated even outside opening times if by prior arrangement and the gourmet catering, under the name of King Albert Gourmet and Party Service, completes the service on offer.
