Review on Galvin Demoiselle at Harrods
Michelin-starred brothers Jeff and Chris Galvin launched their fifth venture in March 2012, named Galvin Demoiselle in the iconic luxury department store Harrods. Occupying the former Espresso Café it can be found on the mezzanine level overlooking the store's fruit and vegetable hall, and is overseen by Chris's wife Sara. The restaurant is decorated in tones of sage and rust featuring banquette seating.
Chris and Galvin have produced a menu featuring some of the duo's signature dishes, as well as other dishes that are unique to Galvin Demoiselle. There is a small breakfast menu as well as a range of salads and soups and potages of the day. From the Charcuterie their signature dish of baked lobster fishcake is a highlight and for the carnivores amongst you choose confit pork cheeks and pommes mousseline. Desserts offer a classic French apple tarte tatin with crème Normande or a petit pot au chocolat paired with Sablé Biscuits. Why not pop in for their delicious afternoon tea of sandwiches, French fancies and madeleines with a glass of Demoiselle Grande Cuvée Rosé.
