Review on Sun Cafe
Escape from the incessant rain, put your umbrella away and relax in the comfortable surroundings of the ironically named Sun Cafe. Lancaster's Sun Cafe is an undiscovered gem that is popular with those 'in the know', and well worth a visit if you haven't yet experienced it.
Housed in a charming Lancastrian stone building next to an art gallery, do not be duped by the period exterior, this is not a National Trust tea room. The interior is rather funky, with interesting art adorning the walls and an atmosphere that verges on the Bohemian as you rub shoulders with musicians and artists. On a Sunday you can enjoy a traditional roast lunch accompanied by the soothing sounds of live jazz music. During the rest of the week you can enjoy a wide range of snacks and more substantial, sophisticated modern European dishes, not to mention an excellent choice of drinks and beverages.
