Review on Lemon Tree Restaurant
The very popular Lemon Tree restaurant has after 18 years on Lower Main Street moved to larger premises at 32 the Courtyard Shopping Centre in central Letterkenny. Culinary brothers Garry and Christopher Molloy own the place and take care of the cooking in an open-to-view kitchen, offering visitors bistro-style food in a setting of terracotta tiles, peach walls and wooden furnishings.
Local seafood and steaks are the specialities, but the menu also runs to pasta dishes, home-baked pizzas and specialities like chicken and mushroom roulade with red onion marmalade. Early bird menus (5.00 - 7.00pm) offer outstanding value. The Molloy brothers recently opened an all-day sister restaurant/takeaway, the Oak Tree, in nearby Port Road (opposite the An Grainan Theatre).
