Review on Jasmine Palace Restaurant
Over the years, the Jasmine Palace has established itself as one of the most reputable Chinese restaurants in Limerick. It's a big, bustling venue on the first floor of a stylish building in the centre of town, and has been luxuriously decked out in traditional style.
At lunchtime, a lavish help-yourself buffet bar is the main attraction and the restaurant offers attractive 'early bird' deals in the evening. The full menu covers a lot of territory from crispy wuntuns to wok-fried lo mein noodles, but it's worth looking out for the peasant-style hotpots, braised aromatic duck with vegetables and stir-fried beef with sun-dried chillies.
Seafood also shows up well in the shape of flash-cooked mussels with hot spicy wine, sautιed scallops with asparagus and garlic or lobster with ginger and spring onions in oyster sauce. Showy Westernised desserts complete the picture. There is a second branch on Barrack Place, Ennis, Co. Clare.
