Turn off the bustling A22 just two miles north of East Grinstead and take a short drive down Wiremill Lane to find the charismatic 15th Century Wiremill Inn nestled into a charming rural location... more than just a pub! Dishes are freshly prepared using locally sourced ingredients from great farmers and producers. Food was lovely only complaint was presentation with the burgers, the chips looked like they were just dumped on the plate, could have done with a little side salad on plate possibly or small pot coleslaw? Peas? Apart from that the lamb I had was very tasty.

An excellent dinning experience. Food was 1st rate, staff were very helpful and professional. Can't wait to try the accommodation if the quality of the food, service and atmosphere are anything to go by. 10 out of 10.

What has happened to the Wire Mill?

Visited the Wire Mill for lunch having not been for sometime. Service has always been slow but wait was worthwhile due to interesting menu and quality of food. didn't spot drastic change in standard of catering that, in retrospect, was indicated by the new style menu. Choice now more like that of a chain restaurant. food poorly cooked, small portions. service quicker than previously but staff poorly trained.. such a shame, had been one of the few pub restaurants in the area worth going out of your way to get to. what happened to the gastronomic ambitions that once marked out this pub as a quirky little treasure?

    Great food rubbish service

Such a shame as food was excellent... Starters came out pretty quickly and were fantastic but we sat with the plates for 30 mins. Staff cleared glasses from other tables but plates were everywhere. Eventually I had to go in ask a waiter to clear our table and make sure our mains had been put through.
We then waited 35 mins for mains which again were fantastic.
After another 45 mins we were still sat with our plates.
I spoke to the manager about it because I think it's only fair to give them a chance to put it right but he just said he'd look into it and put the blame on the kitchen.... While talking to him a frustrated chef interrupted to ask for service. Clearly the kitchen wants to be serving great hot food it's just a shame that the front of house team aren't supporting them.
