Review on Restaurant Lapin
The Lapin restaurant is located in the the family run Hotel de la Paix in the centre of Lucerne, a short stroll from the lake and the historical sights of the area. This is one of the city's leading restaurants and is a popular venue for both locals and tourists visiting the city. It has a cosy, rustic appearance and serves modern European cuisine specialising in regional dishes.
The menu offers fish, meat and seafood dishes as well as traditional Swiss Käsespätzli (small dumplings with melted cheese) with chives and pumpkin potato strudel with parsley cream sauce. In addition to the standard menu, the restaurant offers a special every day and extensive 3 to 4 course weekly menus. The speciality of the house is their legendary Flambi-Spiess, a brochette flambéed directly at your table. The food is supported by a carefully chosen wine list with a focus on Europe. Service is charming and knowledgeable.
