The Seerestaurant is located in the charming family owned Hotel Seeburg, an impressive historical property in the outskirts of Lucerne, beside the beautiful lake. The smartly appointed dining room has well laid tables with crisp white linen and displays of exotic orchids.
The kitchen employs high quality ingredients for its menu featuring regional dishes together with international cuisine. Specialities such as soft Lachmittelstück (pieces of special cheese) in a light chervil and saffron mousse, served with sorrel noodles and baby vegetables, grilled beef fillet, 'Seeburg (sea mount)' with nut potatoes and baby vegetables in a Bernaise sauce, or warm 'Schoggi (famous Swiss company for chocolates and confectionary) tartlets' with a soft centre and a scoop of vanilla ice cream are all on the menu.
The wine list is a cracker, running to over four hundred bottles, knowledgeably garnered from major vineyards throughout the world.
The lakeside terrace is a particularly perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal or drink, while taking in the views over Lake Lucerne and Mount Pilatus.
