Review on Raoul's
Raoul's restaurant was opened in December 1985 by Geraldine Leventis with the support of artist Francis Bacon, a lively brasserie on a busy shopping parade in affluent Maida Vale, with its own deli just across the road. This is the flagship restaurant with offshoots in Notting Hill and Hammersmith, all offer a relaxed daytime cafe ambience with a more intimate dining experience in the evening.
The kitchen looks to the Mediterranean for inspiration, kicking off with a Continental and English breakfast, followed by a lunch menu that includes daily specials and an evening a la carte menu. Typical dishes include wild sea bass, grilled halloumi cheese, aubergine salad and Italian handmade pastas.
