Review on Sapporo Teppanyaki Restaurant
The Manchester sibling of Sapporo Teppanyaki in Liverpool makes the perfect venue if you fancy theatrical culinary entertainment rather than a discreet gastronomic experience. This is one of the most popular 'partying' restaurants in the city and punters revel in its fun, showtime atmosphere.
As the name suggests, this set up revolves around teppan yaki: guests sit in front of hot plates while chefs do their stuff, slicing, grilling and assembling all manner of ingredients with pyrotechnic wizardry. Duck breast, lamb loin, lobsters and scallops all receive the treatment, with fried rice, grilled vegetables and sauté potatoes offered on the side.
Fans of raw fish can also get their kicks from a wide choice of nigiri sushi and maki rolls, as well as carefully crafted sashimi: try the chef's special of sliced tuna, salmon and sea bass with pickled ginger, wasabi and soy.
