2 Veneti is a contemporary restaurant based in the heart of Marylebone featuring terracotta brickwork, pale wood floors with black and white prints adorning the walls. It is run by two Venetians Stephan and Simon, hence the name and manning the stoves is Luca Conti ex Teca, Mayfair.
There is an old Venetian saying which explains their passion for good food and wine "Magna e tasi...bevi e godi" which means "Eat and hush....drink and enjoy!" Typical offerings on the regularly changing carte might include grilled asparagus salad with quail eggs, rocket and parmesan or beef fillet carpaccio with rocket and parmesan mayonnaise. Main courses follow suit with chicken Milanese served with rocket and cherry tomatoes or fillet of lemon sole with sautéed spinach and "Mugnaia" sauce. While desserts tempt with the likes of
typical almond biscuit from Veneto with dark chocolate and grappa mousse or warm chocolate and almond sponge cake with vanilla ice-cream. There is also a large selection of Amarone together with popular Northern Italian wines.
