Review on Getti
Getti occupies a corner site on stylish Marylebone High Street and bustling Devonshire Street, part of a small group of family-run Italian restaurants owned by Stefano Fraquelli. With its premium pavement tables for dining al fresco when the sun is shining, the interior boasts a smart modern décor decked out in a palette of royal blue and white.
The kitchen showcases regional Italian classics using time-honoured recipes made with the finest ingredients for its dishes. Classic risotto, pasta and pizzas are the mainstay of the menu, but the choice is fleshed out with fish dishes such as Branzino alla griglia, grilled fillet of sea bass with grilled vegetables or for meat lovers there's Fegato di vitello, calf's liver sautéed in butter and sage or veneziana (with onions and white wine), both served with steamed vegetables. To finish there are traditional desserts in the shape of tiramisu or profiteroles.
There's a concise Italian wine list with some offerings available by the glass or carafe, together with a cocktail menu.
